Waterless War

Waterless war is a fall winter 2023 collection marketed as streetwear. The key inspiration behind the collection is the Gobi Desert and history within it, being the Battle of Mobei between what is now known as Mongolia and China in 119 BC and the armor the two sides wore along with the landscape of the desert. Main fabrics in this collection are, novelty knits, wool knits, ripstop and denim. The color palette consists of ten colors inspired by the colors of the desert ranging from the sands, cliffs, sky, and even oasis. The silhouettes of the collection are meant to be worn oversized meaning that a size medium would actually fit like an extra large, for the bottoms in the collection they’re a boot cut style, so slightly slimmer in the thigh to knee but then slowly flares out from the knee down. There are two main surface designs in this collection being the desert mirage intarsia knit sweater which depicts a desert mirage of an oasis in the desert. Along with this is a denim that has raised embroidered lines throughout the denim representing the dilapidated great wall of China that stands in the Gobi desert. The target market market for this collection is streetwear enthusiast that love oversized silhouettes, and ideally live in colder climates where wool knits are appropriate wear such as the east coast of America. This same customer would shop brands like Rick Owens, Comme Des Garcon, Off-White, Louis Vuitton and Raf Simons. On the collection floor these pieces would hang with the same brands being Rick Owens, Raf Simons and Comme Des Garcon. The general price point of this collection would range from $200-$800 per piece.
